These icicles are a great replacement for my old glow plugs. Last year I calculated that my outdoor icicles used about 2000 watts. These strings are warm white and reduce power consumption by 80%. One of the really cool things about these strings is that they come with a very long cord so I didn't have to use extension cords to get to the jack. The controllers work well, although choosing the right lighting function is a bit confusing. Since I like it when the light is on all the time, there is a need to switch between 7 or 8 modes. Each string comes with its own controller, but you can connect 3 strings to one controller (about 1100 lights), which is perfect for my application. I also like the built in timer function. It only has one option, 6 hours on and 18 hours off, which suits my needs very well. The controller lights up green when the timer function is active. Overall, this product meets my needs and I recommend it.
