Adheres to windshield very well. Comes with a small alcohol wipe to wipe the windshield first, which is nice. The detector fits very well in the holder. The whole, mount and detector is now firmly attached to the windshield and no longer bounces like the flimsy thing that always came with my escort pass. The adjustments are limited up/down to match the angle of your windshield. It does not turn left/right. I was going to mount it in front of the driver, but since my windshield is curved like most (everyone?), the detector will point far to the left side of the road (left-hand traffic country). It would be nice if it had a left/right turn. Therefore I limit myself to the installation in the middle (left/right) of the windshield. I set it low to try to catch the laser, although I suspect this is wishful thinking (if they're far away, the beam size is larger and my car is very small, vertical distance to the headlights/license plate, frequent Targets for a laser are the underside of the windshield glass on this car, very small, so believable). As previously mentioned, up/down adjustment is via serrated notches where the angle is fixed in up/down adjustment increments. So it's entirely possible that your detector will be aimed too high at one step and too low at the next. In such a case, you can remove the flat metal bracket from the plastic it mates with using two very small Phillips head screws and bend it slightly in a vise. I bent it by hand without removing the flat metal part, it wasn't easy as the metal isn't thin which worked, but also bent the metal part a bit so the detector is now harder to slide and remove. So I don't recommend doing it manually. I'll remove it, flatten it with a vise, and then bend it again. One of the nice and unexpected results is that there is now much less reach across the dash to install and remove the detector every time I use it. The detector is now much farther from the windshield than the tiny original mount that came with my detector. The photo shows a knurled handle that fixes the up/down angle on the right side. The device I received is on the left. It's just a bolt so I guess you could reverse it. The screw head has a square shank so it won't rotate when you tighten the knob. So this only works if both sides of the bracket have a square hole which I haven't explored. But it doesn't matter much since you pretty much set it and forgot about it. Mount it on the corner of your windshield, which you only have to do once. if both sides of bracket have square hole, that I have not examined.
