We bought a 36 foot Doka pole to clean the tall picture windows. In the last ten years we have tried two extensions with microfiber and mop heads. I started with another brand and then Mr Long Arm. I used an Unger microfiber cloth and scraper which I had trouble getting the job done and to my satisfaction it never got streak free. And when it was cold or your hands got wet, changing the length of the extension cords was a pain. Sometimes you need tools to help. Insufficient window cleaning attempts caused my wife to consider the cost of window cleaning services. I thought we'd try this docapol and make one last try with DIY.GAME CHANGER. Window jambs and adjustable quick-release buckles prevent slipping during rotation. The Doca nozzles screw in tight and won't come loose when at 36 feet, no more tape on the scraper or bringing the tool back to the ground to try and fix again. I found the doca squeegee to be another important upgrade. I complete the entire window run before having to reapply the window cleaning solution. The top of the windows is angled and the bi-directional rotating squeegee head makes work look like a pro. high. The pressure washer barely reaches there and can't keep anything over 12 feet clean without a ladder. I used a DOCA mop and a 1:1 mixture of plain green and white vinegar applied to Docapol. Then I washed it off with a 0 degree nozzle on a pressure washer. After drying, it looks freshly painted. We talked about the need for a new paint job due to a mold color change that we couldn't handle. Now away! He worked so well that he ended up washing the whole house. Looks great. I didn't say it's easy. At maximum extension, you will need a strong back and shoulders (or a second person) to position and move the mop for cleaning. And looking straight up for too long can be a pain in the neck. Two pieces of advice to keep. After applying the solution to the end of the squeegee, attach the end to the foundation of a house or similar strong structure. Walk up the pole until the end of the mop is in the air. Then it becomes very shaky and difficult to control. Place the end of the squeegee on a finish or similar object, then walk or throw the squeegee head to the desired cleaning area. If you are not sure which length to buy, I would suggest you choose the 36ft length. With no extension, it works well as a 10ft pole. If your home is a single story, consider a shorter pole. But look at the attachments. You can use a saw attachment and do the tree care yourself etc. I've only had docapol for three weeks but it has taken a lot of pressure and has paid for itself many times over. And it opened up a lot of cleaning and maintenance options that I hadn't even thought of before. Highly recommended.
