I’ve bought two of these in the last 2 months because I love it so much! First leash I ended up having to toss after I walked away for about 10 minutes and my puppy had easy access to it to work his chewing magic (he’s a heavy duty power chewer with boundless energy). I was upset and wanted to cry, not AT the product, but because it works so well and I’d have to wait the 2 days for prime shipping.This is an extremely sturdy leash, necessary for my large dog (German Shepard/Husky, about 100 lbs, and a little over 5 feet standing on hind legs/40 inches on all 4). He’s a puller so I was looking for something to pad my hands from the leash burn that I’d get with others. I also wanted a little bit of padding since I tend to grip tightly lest I want to be dragged down the street a 3rd time and with even greater injuries. This leash delivers on both extraordinarily well and has quality construction. The padding on the handle is like a cushiony sort of material like the foam used on the ends of weight machines. It’s extremely ergonomic, I don’t feel my carpal tunnel flaring on long walks anymore.A bonus with this that I didn’t realize when I bought it: shockproof! You know that hard jerk you get when your dog makes a sudden lunge at the rustling leaf minding its own business in the street? Nada. Nothing. The leash springs a little like elastic so that you don’t take the impact.So, yes, this is why I bought another after "The Chewening”. Even then, it took him about 15 minutes to chew through and he still didn’t completely sever it. I’m impressed. Bravo. An inanimate object stood up to a dog that is nicknamed "The Destroyer” by everyone who’s been around him. No, seriously, my dog chewed THROUGH a door in 3 minutes.
