Love this little air pump. I have one in my 40 gallon grow tank. Exhaust fumes are fine for what they are. It's really quiet, but honestly my Aquaclear filter makes more noise than this air pump. The air stone itself could be a bit better, but that's okay. This kit includes everything you need: an air hose, air stone, check valve, pump, strong suction cup and bracket to mount the pump to the back or side of the tank, and a power supply. I like that it has a USB port. Power option if my power goes out I can always use a portable battery to keep the pump running and keep the water circulating and the surface moving. stop running About 12 hours later the next morning as I was getting ready for work I noticed that one of my fish was choking on the top of the tank. I soon found that my filter wasn't working. I was able to get it working again, I turned on the lights to get my plant to start photosynthesizing and I was also able to use my air pump and drop it in my tank to help the surface movement even more. A few hours later, all the inhabitants of the aquarium were fine. So I will buy another one for my small pool to protect myself from the event if my filter suddenly stops working again. It will also be a better indicator that my tank has lost performance. Highly recommended. Good product.
