Review on 📻 Pyle PLMRCW1: Water Resistant Smoke Colored Marine Stereo Cover with Flip-up Door & Mounting Gasket - White by Andy Kucrud

"Spring-Loaded Hinged Door" raises the lid about 1/2 inch (see photo). What I can't say is because it's defective or because it's been used or both. Looking at the picture on the box it looks like there should have been a center piece inside the hole. There was none. The edges around the hole were jagged, as if someone had carved the center piece with an X-Acto knife. They did a good job, but it's pretty clear it's been cut. It also looked like the box had either been sealed or resealed, with a piece of tape over the top of the box flap. This is deceptive and annoying in my opinion and while it will discourage me from shopping at this particular retailer, Hippo Deals, it will not affect the use for which I intended the cover. Whatever the fact, it doesn't work as advertised. It takes a couple more hands than I have to hold the door open, operate the stereo controls, and ride the bike. I'll try installing it upside down, which should work wonders in terms of waterproofing(?). Not super impressive.
