It takes a little trial and error to work with ALL rooflines. We had some issues with different angles on the rooflines, where it took a few minutes to set up securely. If you have to move the stairs around the house a lot (gutter cleaning) like we do, expect it to take a little time to get it right. We're safety freaks and it was a real relief to have them installed instead of mounting them to the gutter itself. I'm not sure how long the rubber will last considering how it slides over shingles on a daily basis, but for the price, I'm happy to add a safe LIGHTWEIGHT alternative to our 20ft and 28ft stairs.
