Brewers are finicky about equipment as delicate as their hydrometers and I've had particularly bad luck with glass and even plastic jars. Complementing this kit is a more powerful hydrometer (albeit fragile) and good borosilicate bumper glass. Also, the test can only weighs 4 ounces while the others weigh 6-8 ounces, so I lose less wort or beer through gravity reading, and if I clumsily tip the can, the bumper saves the day. The packaging is very nice and the included brush and cloth make cleaning easy. Looking forward to a similar product for gravity hydrometers with high resolution surface!
