Review on Strathmore 567 7 Softcover Journal Sheets by Angela Rodriguez

I've been using this particular brand and album line for about a year now and I have to say it's my favorite. I like that the paper isn't too thick, but still thick enough to work with watercolors. I also love the fact that it's 100% cotton so watercolors work really well in this sketchbook. This is definitely a well thought out mixed media sketchbook. In this album I mainly use erasable pencils, ink and watercolor, all of which work well in this book. I also used some gouache and it turned out really well. As for watercolor, it may take a few coats before it gets to the point where it can't take it anymore. It will lie pretty flat. The texture of the paper is fairly smooth but not too smooth, I think they say it's a parchment finish and I agree. The cover isn't the strongest and the markings are easily visible but I usually put stickers and art on all my covers and to be honest I still prefer paperback over hardback but thought I'd mention the cover just in case .
