I have (2) D8s and was thinking why not get (2) D9s. The more the merrier, right? It's louder. I have not yet fully tested everything in it, as well as in different styles. I easily removed the handle by removing the black tape covering the hex head screws where the handle inserts from the side. Took 2 minutes if you have the right size hex wrench. I carry mine on my bike so I don't need a grip. Look at the pictures where I take it everywhere I ride and play my trumpet. You can see where the screws were removed, so there's no longer a handle! updated: I tested (2) in stereo at an open air concert at max and didn't hear the distortion I did on my D8s. Probably thanks to larger drivers that can handle the extra power in reserve. Nothing comes close in this price range. If you're playing them quietly indoors, you probably won't like what they can really do at maximum volume. UPDATE #2: There's a D9 OS update that will greatly improve indoor bass levels if that's what you prefer. Find files on YouTube to update your device. You probably won't like what they can really do at maximum volume. UPDATE #2: There is a D9 OS update that will greatly improve indoor bass levels if that's what you prefer.
