This bag is ideal for everyday use. Personally, I don't think it's a "small" bag at all. It seems huge to me, but I'm used to a tiny Kipling Alvar XS shoulder bag (and I'm petite). You can put LOTS of things in this bag and most importantly it is VERY light and comfortable. This is important to me because I had a back injury so big heavy bags/purses don't work for me. The fabric is lightweight, durable and water resistant but looks good and the quality of the zips is amazing. I want it in all colors! The main compartment is divided into two very spacious main compartments, each with its own zip at the top of the bag. On one side there is a small zippered pocket and a lanyard with key clip (you can attach your wallet, accessories or keys here!) On the other side there is a large pocket big enough for a smartphone and a small wallet or other electronic device/camera etc. and then a smaller pocket for small items and two grip sleeves. There is ENOUGH space on each side for things, and I love the separation because you can carry everyday items on one side and leave the other side for papers, a journal or small spiral notebook, a drawing pad and pencils, or an iPad. I only had space in the main compartments for my everyday things, cell phone, wallet, small notepad, kindle with lid and water bottle! There are two more zipped compartments on the front of the bag, making things easy to store and easy to find. In these pouches I keep hand sanitizer, lip balm, tissues, small pencils, notebooks, mirrors, etc. PROS: * Plenty of pockets and organization * Pen sleeves * Key clip * Plenty of room * Lightweight * Water resistant * Durable, washable, well constructed / great zippers! * Elegant design! (do not stuff too much to keep the profile flat) * MONKEY key ring! (Who doesn't love monkeys? - If not, you can take it off) * Wide, comfortable strap that adjusts to be worn over the shoulder or on the shoulder. CONS: *While I find it perfect, the sizing can be too big to be "small" and too small to be big for people who carry luggage size bags *Two access points to main compartments side by side at top are confusingly confusing and you have to get used to which page contains which elements.
