Review on 🍎 Efficient and Durable Red Apple Peeler, Slicer, and Corer with Stainless Steel Blades and Suction Base by Lauralee Jensen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The main defects are best in kitchen utensils and gadgets

good first. He peels apples. He is great and peels apples. Sometimes you have to press your finger against the peeler to keep the pressure constant, but seriously, I sliced 8 pounds of apples in under 15 minutes. The suction cup works great, it got dirty from putting wet apples on it and never lost suction. It rotates easily and doesn't peel a ton of skin like I feared. Now it's not so good. We only buy harder apples but we got a red yummy one and I tried it, it didn't want to peel it. The core was too soft and did not harden. Although there were no problems with Fuji. Big apples can be a problem, those giant grapefruit-sized honey chips might not fit. A few of our Fujis were taller and narrower. Don't try to squeeze it as you could accidentally grab the very open blade. The blade that cuts the apple is exposed all the time. There is also no safety device when it is removed. I wish I could put it back in the box so the kids or I wouldn't accidentally cut ourselves picking it up off the street, but that little handle you have to attach (maybe a screwdriver, I used my fingernail) , it is not attached and gets in the way of the box. The handle does not fold to fit in the box. Now I have an open blade just sitting in the closet. It is very difficult to wash, I use a brush and wash all at once, I hope it does not rust, it looks well put together and is very durable. . I'm glad I bought it, but it needs to be handled with care.
