I bought this rug for my son's baseball themed bedroom rug and it serves the purpose well. It's not very thick, but I didn't expect it to be super soft. The fibers are soft enough that they don't itch underfoot, and I had no problem straightening the curls (strained the corners for about a night and they straightened out just fine). Hard floors are very slippery, so a rubber anti-slip mat is needed. My main problem is the "white" band around it, which is actually colored green. Not very impressive but definitely not a nice bright white border and I wonder if it's just done that way or if the green of the carpet tints the white and so can seep into other fabrics that come in contact with it. .? Works for us, so doesn't change the rules of the game.
