I like that it's compact and doesn't require assembly. All of this is gathered, although it is not clear how and where to start to get up. I would like it with pictures or some kind of instructions. It looks like a jigsaw puzzle at first, but at least no tools (or batteries lol) are required. The plastic pallet is not the same as in the picture but quite decent. I love how the drawer closes when you close the easel so you can move it without opening it and spilling it. Unfortunately I heard everything inside moves when I moved it, but it comes with a compartment divider that fits into tiny rear-order slots. I think it's just a learning curve. It's a "carrier" and you can take anything with you anywhere, which is nice. Or simply roll it up to take up less space and store away. The wood is stretchy/deformable, so care must be taken not to overtighten the set screws and bang them against something (including other parts). I love that you can adjust the height for kids or adults. For what it's supposed to be you can't have a heavy/high quality wood because it would be too heavy to carry, so I get it. It's as good as it gets. I wasn't sure what form it would come in based on previous reviews. I think people may have received 'returned' items that were sold as new as the paints, brushes and canvases were all boxed and wrapped when we received ours. We got this for our 7 year old for Christmas and I was impressed when I took it out of the box.
