I really like the lock because it's relatively easy to install and keeps the standard look of the lock on the outside. Most if not all other locking systems also require replacement of the outside of the bolt. This can include changing keys or losing the key slot entirely. I'm talking about relative simplicity because I didn't see the part at the bottom of the product information page that applies only to single-barrel latches. This is important as double barrel bolts have shorter shanks and will not engage the rear of the August. I had to get a different shaft to make it work. The second problem was the door. This is a very wide door with 9 transoms. This placed the window frame very close to the lock, preventing the latch from attaching the lock to the plate. I had to detach the frame and move it away from the door to install and secure the unit. Luckily that was in a garage and they never installed threaded plugs for me (you can see what I mean). on the photo). As for the castle itself, so far it does what I expect. I like the auto lock feature. I often walk in and out of the garage with my hands full. I used to have a key lock inside for extra security, but because it was a key lock I never used it. That way I can close the door behind me and know that I won't have to go into the cold garage later to check if it's locked. I didn't have a chance to test the geofence unlock feature. Works pretty quiet. Not quiet, but quieter than I thought. Let's move on to the removed features. Being a relatively expensive standalone device, this is not a very good device. I was expecting a much stronger signal, both from the lock and the wifi. The instructions require you to plug in the device within 10 feet of the lock. There isn't much flexibility. Surprisingly, there is an electrical outlet very close by in my garage, but the Bluetooth connection still just says 'good'. In the garage we are at the edge of our WLAN range, but the radio surveillance camera installed outside picks up the signal without any problems. The August remote does not always connect. I like that you can have different accounts for different users, but they are still "owner". On the other device I have, we just log into the same account because the secondary account is limited. It's fine, but knowing who used the lock is useful.
