I had another orthosis that fell apart after a few months of work time use. Looking for something more durable I decided on this one to try. It feels more durable than a cheaper brace that has fallen apart, but doesn't feel as supportive. This allows my wrist to move more than I would like. It only caused pain once when lifting an object caused my wrist to move too far. It didn't happen after that one time, but another brace had thick material around the wrist area that wrapped around the wrist and made it feel wrapped and supported. made him feel more supported, but that didn't help much. Using a metal clasp in this case can prevent more wrist movement, but it also prevents me from using that hand during the work I need to do. All in all it works pretty well.
