These socks are exactly as described! I was talking about size 6-8 as my 5 year old now wears bigger shoes for his age (12c) but 4-6 socks fit him perfectly. This is a very thick material, just like my favorite adult wool socks that I buy from Costco. After a two-hour hike, my son didn't complain of cold feet, like in cotton socks. Definitely a must-have if your child loves to play outside in winter!
