Only required to attach a piece of 1/2 width steel tape to a concrete curb to reinforce handrails. The drill took about 3/8 inch and drilled through 20 year old concrete. Quick trip to the local hardware store/lumber store for a pair of 3/16 bits. The new drill completed both holes in less than a minute. Screws are no problem at all.
