I bought these self sealing glass bottles to make kombucha at home. They serve their purpose well. In the near future I want to try to brew homemade beer in it. Pros: The bottles are attractive and have a nice appearance. The lid is tight and holds the carbon dioxide well. The bottles are thick and strong, none of them are broken or cracked. The locking mechanism is durable and easy to use. Cons: Difficult to clean as the mouth is very narrow. When opened to relieve pressure, carbonated beverages will leak some liquid even if opened slowly. I would buy them again.
