I tested these heat resistant LANON Protection gloves with Chef's CD Mittens. I had an All Clad stainless steel pot with simmering water to cook the artichokes in. I chose one of these gloves and one of the Chef CD gloves. I set the timer and put both hands on the pot. After 10 seconds, heat began to flow through these gloves. By the time 30 seconds had passed it was too hot to even touch the pot. These gloves will work for a short time, but if you're carrying a smoked chest in a metal tray from the yard to the kitchen, you won't make it. You get hot. When it comes to working with hot food or slicing hot meat, they work great as the temperature is usually not as high as metal.
