I always put LEDs in them. They are cheap compared to good brands. They all popped off the ceiling, unlike the round LEDs I replaced them with. Any light source would need sealing to look good, but here's the problem. Having a square with a wall and each other was a nightmare. One day I wasted a lot of time, I started chasing and then they moved a bit and weren't level anymore. I took them off the same day and literally threw them away. I didn't want to deal with a refund. I would not recommend these lamps!
