I got these plaques to make personalized plaques for my sister's wedding. The 12 inch circles were the perfect size. They are made from beautiful birch plywood with a silky smooth finish. I LOVE that they are finished on both sides so I can make double sided signs. I've received a few from other sellers in the past that only finished one side which could be a waste of time depending on the project. Unlike MDF boards, they can be painted and stained very well without the need for multiple coats. The lettering came out beautifully and she liked it. They are definitely worth the money for any handyman.
