Virtually useless. Put the ring in my sun conure's cage. Within 5 (yes, I said FIVE!) minutes, my bird had untied a very loosely tied rope (which was clearly too large in diameter for this small ring). When I say "not done" the ends of the rope dangle and the metal ring is exposed. If I hadn't removed this ring from the cage, the metal ring would have been immediately exposed. At least I got a good laugh watching my bird scatter the leftovers around.
