Installs on KIA Optima 2012 by cutting into the standard rear camera wiring. When I found out that red goes to red and black goes to WHITE, yellow goes to yellow and another black goes to another black, I finally got the video! I was about to give up because I couldn't get it to work, but my last try was to swap the black wires and it worked. It made sense to me once I did, but it took me two gin and tonics to get me there. However, once I got it working, the video from the rear camera was excellent. I think the camera might have a slightly wider field of view than the OEM KIA, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I would recommend applying some silicone glue (or other sealant) before putting the camera back in. After snapping it into place, I found that the retaining clip was so tight that I couldn't get the camera out to apply sealant (which I think is necessary). Without sealant, there is a small gap between the camera body and the metal of the trunk lid. I was able to seal it satisfactorily, but it gets cleaner if you apply sealer first. Total installation time (including troubleshooting) is just under 1 1/2 hours.
