Finally the perfect way to hang heavy photo paper vertically! We've tried tape, glue, rubber glue, and putty to attach photos to foam board for a temporary display, but nothing worked. Permanent adhesive dots solved the problem. I've found that the permanent version even works on semi-gloss walls where the poster version doesn't without damaging the paint upon removal. I've tried removable, poster, fixed, and floating dots, and recommend removable and floating only for horizontal applications like scrapbooks or postcards. Poster dots work well vertically with plain and smooth paper on most wall surfaces. The permanent dots work well with photos and heavier items and don't appear to be damaged, although manufacturers warn they can damage the paintwork. Permanent dots are ideal for use on all types of foam.
