If you like radios and need better communication, I will give you some pointers that you must use this product. I used it as a "feel good product" for my antenna connections for a while because I've never really been able to measure if it makes a difference. I would swear all my radios worked better, but after today I'm convinced. Attempting to fit the CB into these new Cherokees was a pain, and I finally gave in and just went with the magnetic mount. To make matters worse, my Trailhawk has a panoramic roof, so I have almost no bottom. Not expecting much in terms of performance, but good enough to hear while driving on the road, I ordered the Browning NMO magazine mount as I like to switch between 2M/70cm and 11m. I mounted the bracket to the 6" wide sheet of metal I left on the back of the roof and routed the cable to my Anytone "CB". 1/4" adapter, 4" heavy duty spring and 2 -inch firestick with rebuildable tip. When setting up a compromised system like this, I set up the channels I'm going to use, not the 1st and 40th routes. Checking the SWR showed about 1.5 on channel 20, I was happy with so I just wanted to leave it alone. Then I remembered I hadn't applied this copper anti-seize compound to all of my metal-to-metal connections. After I ripped everything apart , reassembled all threads and center plugs and put everything back together, I had checked the SWR on channel 20 one last time before closing time, with a 1. Damn, I thought I had overdone it and shorted it out a bit, so I erased everything again , al les deleted, which seemed superfluous to me, and reconnected. Still 1st double damn. My meter must be bad. After some checking I didn't find the problem, plugged it back in and yes it was still 1 on channel 20. So I go to channel 1 and calibrate and test. It stays below 2.5. Interesting. I go to CH 40, calibrate and test and again SWR under 2.5. I switch to CH 19, calibrate and the needle does not move. WHAT? I thought something was wrong until I got the RX for 19 miles. Now I'm in severe shock. I mean it's a magnetic mount with a 2" antenna already seriously compromised and I don't have much grounding either. I just lowered the SWR to 1 and only used conductive grease and it's legal! i am sold I will definitely have this material on hand for radio work. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
