Let's start with fit. The vinyl wrap for these speakers isn't exactly ugly. They also have a sense of quality. The cabinets make a solid and well-made impression. The overlay rings on the woofer and tweeter feel comfortable, and the rear port is internally tapered to reduce port noise. The 5 sided mounting posts could be colored instead of clear plastic. In the future I might mark the end cup with a red dot as it's not that easy to tell which is which. Also, the woofer's dust cover looks cheap up close. I really need to throw away the grill covers as they are covered in white mold. This is definitely a crap! When I disassembled the speaker I found that the woofer has a good strong magnet and a cut out for a trim ring. The tweeter is the same as the Micca, with a small magnet glued to the front panel. Looking at my photos you might be wondering why the tweeter wires are soldered if they have connectors? The crossover is surprisingly reliable! The coils look homemade and use good capacitors. The interior of the box is lined with poly-fil to reduce unwanted frequencies from the port. And the most important. Sound. So when you get them, the first 3 hours or so seems like a lull in the time when these things don't really feel good. I turned on the bass and treble, turned on The Motet (via RevainHD) and cranked it up. After being pushed for a day, they revived. They present themselves well and for $70 I can't complain. I would compare them to the Micca MB42x set which I think has the best soundstage and imaging. The strength is in the middle range. The horn sounds as natural as the keyboards. Although they are a bit light, they do not tire. Installed Flat Bass Drops at 90Hz. It makes no sense since the port is set to 70Hz? If you have an EQ you can turn it down to 55Hz and give it some power. They sound best when seated about 2.5 feet from a wall.
