I ordered this carrier to store soft goods like clothes as I was out of state and needed to carry everything in my car. I was hoping to use it on the roof of my car but I didn't have a metal frame or other casing to hold it in place and after studying it I realized that it really just work with something would, which can be completed and what append. However, I was very impressed with the apparent build quality and it holds a lot of stuff! If you have a roof rack or similar place to put it, this is probably the cheapest and most convenient rack you will find.
