Review on Review and specifications of the Fujinon XF56mmF1.2 R lens by Fery Buana ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

A classic high-aperture portrait lens in this focal length, with one of the best, in my opinion, picture (I remember my heavy "barrel" Canon 85 1.2 L II in full frame). I don't use it that often, more for staged scenes. Of course, you need to get used to working with him, show patience, and if harmony comes (it didn’t work out for me right away), then with such dimensions and a pattern at the output, he can be forgiven a lot, a lot) Yes, until recently it was the only one in the Fuji system, until the XF 50mm F1.0 R WR appeared - it is larger, noticeably heavier, lighter, dust and moisture resistant, can be faster and quieter in autofocus, and . . sensitively more expensive. While faithful to his 56 1.2.

Pros
  • 1. Very beautiful picture, soft background blur (bokeh) at high aperture values, starting from 1.2 (it is working, the sharpness in the center of the frame is very high) 2. Compact in size and weight (considering the focal length and such aperture) 3. Metal body
Cons
  • 1. Autofocus is not as fast and quiet as other, more modern Fuji fixes 2. Lack of dust and moisture protection - you need to be very careful when using it outdoors, in dusty rooms, etc. 3. The aperture ring is very easy to scroll, manual focus is a little late in fact
