Actually this is the second one I bought. My husband accidentally broke off the bottom on the first one. We definitely wanted the same product. Obviously it's not indestructible, but it's worth being a little careful with. It's beautiful and functional. We use European oil bricks which fit but could take up a little more room. I simply cut the bricks in half and use 1/2 sticks on each. A whole stone fits in, but the lid can get dirty if you don't put it back on properly. I did a lot of research before I bought the first one. Most people have complained that other oilers don't have a handle on the lid. It met my needs: with a handle, good looking and good value.
