With a Galaxy phone that only has a USB-C port for charging and listening to music, I always had to use an iPad audio jack adapter if I wanted to connect my phone to the AUX input in the car . For *some* reason (I'm looking at you Apple) the sound quality from my phone to the audio jack on the iPad and the AUX cable connected to my car has degraded significantly. I finally found this direct AUX to USB cable. -C and my sound was back to normal (ie good quality to be precise). I'm so glad I found this; I was afraid my car speakers would explode if I had to turn the volume up to 30-35 just to get the same volume I normally get at 15-20.
