We received these clippers a few days ago and I have used them to trim my husband's coarse/wavy hair. Not only did they give a nice sharp haircut, but the machines themselves are durable and ergonomic with a rubber handle. Don't worry about noise or excessive heat. Pure cutting action only. The blades do not zero out, but are close enough to clean around the neck area and around the ears. I was impressed with the guide combs and how well the clipper cuts any length of comb. The blade slides out for cleaning (recommended at the end of each cutting session) and oil is provided to lubricate the blades.
