Great tie out in my review

We use this when we go camping for our 35 pound French Bulldog. The longer cables found at pet stores and big box retailers give him too much room to tangle himself up. This length is just right. We either tether him to the picnic table or the bottom step of our fifth wheel. He’s got just enough room to walk around without tying himself in knots around our chairs or feet.

Pros
  • Bought plenty of replacements, these I have not had to replace. In fact, I bought a second one.
Cons
  • May corrode with exposure to salt water or other harsh substances

Item is as described

Good, sturdy tie out for my Cocker Spaniel. Love the color! Keep in mind it is only as good as what it’s attached to. Ensure the stake or object is secure enough for the size of your dog.

Pros
  • August 14, 2019
Cons
  • Not suitable for use as a long-term solution for outdoor dogs

Works great in my review

It’s really long, giving my dog plenty of space to run about the yard. We’ve only used it once, but it appears to be holding up sturdily.

Pros
  • Helps to prevent your pet from damaging or destroying outdoor items or property
Cons
  • Rusts easily

Keeps our dog focused

We needed a shorter tie out to help our dog stay focused on going to the bathroom instead of running all over playing. The 10 ft length gets her bored quickly and trained her to go right away when she’s on it.

Pros
  • Easy snaps work perfectly. Made solid. Built to last. Highly recommend.
Cons
  • May pose a danger if installed near sharp or pointed objects

Awesome for travel - my new review

I got this for my new puppy when we were planning a trip. I wanted a leash he could be outside in our campsite but not be able to wander far like most leashes are. Worked great with a ground stake and was sturdy. The only bad thing is the black pieces like to move so if you have a chewer make sure to cut those off.

Pros
  • Sturdy and strong enough to withstand pulling and tugging
Cons
  • Can be difficult to install in hard or rocky soil

Great gizmo! on my review.

A nice little tie out for my small pooch. Durable covering over the chain and the little plastic black safety pieces that slide over the connection so their fur doesn’t get caught is genius!

Pros
  • Exactly what I was looking for. As is seen in picture. Sturdy. Color is truecto color in picture.
Cons
  • Not recommended for dogs that are prone to escaping

If Your Dog is a Chewer - Pass!

These tie out cables seem to be very well made but use a hard plastic to coat the cable wire. If your dog chews on things, you probably don't want these tie out cable since one the dog has chewed the plastic off the remaining plastic will rip your hands up - my wife found out the hard way. We bought two of these tie outs to use inside the house. If these tie out cables were to be used outside in extremely cold weather, I'm guessing the hard plastic would crack. If they made these tie out cables

Pros
  • Tie-Outs & Stakes
Cons
  • Cable can become tangled with nearby objects or other pets

Dog enjoying 1st tie out

It’s my 10 lb Havanese and she likes it. It’s her first tie up. It’s sturdy for her. Haven’t had time to check durability yet, but so far it is.

Pros
  • Very sturdy
Cons
  • Cable may fray or snap with excessive use

Perfect camping ping

We used these for camping tie outs for our dogs. They were perfect in that they gave them room to move around while keeping them away from the fire and out of neighboring campsites.

Pros
  • Like the pink color cable option and there's nothing to dislike about this product.
Cons
  • May not hold up well in high winds

Doesn't tangle and pretty chew resistant.

I have a new puppy, Jake, (English Springer Spaniel) and a crate but wanted the puppy to have more range out of the crate to get him use to a larger area as his territory so I used the cable to tie him to the crate with a harness. I used a couple of washable puppy training pads around the crate to catch any accidents. In the first month (8 to12 weeks) he had a few accidents but they all landed on the training pad. Th cable is very sturdy and although my pup loves to chew on it, so far, has not…

Pros
  • MATERIAL: Our tie-out cable is made of galvanized steel wire rope with PVC coating for crack resistant and rust-resistant performance.
Cons
  • May require regular inspection for signs of wear and tear

Great little dog cable

This was purchased with another one and then a 35’ so that my dogs could slide back and forth on their leashes outside. So far they have been Amazing!

Pros
  • METAL RING REINFORCEMENT: Metal reinforcement at both ends of the belt prevents the belt from being worn and broken.
Cons
  • May pose a tripping hazard to humans or other pets

Sturdiness: my feedback

They don't seem to get tangled up like the old ones we had from being used the outer sides with break and chip off and then the wires would be showing so these are really nice I would buy them again.

Pros
  • Glad I ordered these shorter tie outs for my dogs. Plenty long. Seems sturdy enough too.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with retractable leashes

Black reinforcement pieces don't stay

I love this item and it works fine, the only con is that the black reinforcement pieces don't stay and slide up and down the chain. Luckily my puppies don't bother chewing on them, but I could see it being a potential problem for others.

Pros
  • Sleek black color adds a stylish touch to your outdoor decor
Cons
  • Not recommended for use near bodies of water or pools

Pink and perfect! best in my review

I love this cable and I would definitely purchase again! Its durable and does what I need it to do and I love the color! That's my review!

Pros
  • APPLICATION: Ideal for keeping your dog tethered whilst camping, to the park and for other outdoor pursuits.
Cons
  • Cable may become damaged if accidentally run over by a lawnmower or other equipment

Nice cable good for me

This cable is very nice and strong. Love the color. I would have given 5 stars if they made the black protective clip covers more snug. They slide off easily. Can be remedied by putting a wrap or two of electrical tape under it, but I didn’t want my dog to get to that in case the glue was toxic so I left it. He slides them off and chews on them, but the cable withstands his chewing so that is good. I would buy again. Good product.

Pros
  • For the price I love it. The color is great if your in a low visible area and don’t want to trip.
Cons
  • May require additional hardware or accessories for proper use

Good quality for my opinion

WORKS WONDERFUL!Nicest lead we've had for Charlie. Good quality cable and coating. Definitely buying again next time.

Pros
  • Offers you the peace of mind and freedom to attend to other tasks outside while your pet is safely contained
Cons
  • Cable frays easily

Is good for cats as well

Vladimir the Siberian will respond here. This is much better than old one human used, sturdier and bright color helps her see leash when I run in front of her to perhaps have a little fun and trip her. I must find some other fun to have now and trick her. That is all I have to say.

Pros
  • Sturdy. Bright color makes it easy to find in the grass. Won’t be mowing over this one!
Cons
  • Not suitable for dogs that pull or yank on their tether

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Need longer then 10 feet

The product is great and durable, I love the bright color, but 10 feet is really not long enough for a dog outside. Easy to install and use.

Pros
  • Easy to install and use
Cons
  • May interfere with other outdoor activities or gatherings

Quality Tie-Outs good for me

I've ordered these tie-outs twice now, and not because they really needed replaced. I live where it freezes & snows & there's a lot of wind & hail & even the occasional nearby tornado, and my tie-outs are left attached outside for my dogs so they go through all that weather & it's pretty hard on them. I bought cheapies ones from Walmart but they only seemed to last about a month or so before the outer coating would start to crack & break off & even the clips would start to jam. When I got my…

Pros
  • Allows your pet to enjoy the outdoors without supervision
Cons
  • Cable can become twisted or kinked while in use

Strong & durable for 50 lb dog

These were much stronger and thicker than I expected, pleasantly surprised! We bought two for tie outs for each of our dogs, both about 50lbs. We use them for camping with them, one pulls a little more on it than the other and they have held up incredibly well. No tangles, no cracks in the coating, the clips have held up well. Very pleased! It’s hard to find a shorter length (10ft) that is good quality and made for 50lb dogs.

Pros
  • Too heavy for my 3-month-old puppy. Returned.
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with large or heavy-duty dog breeds
