Review on Galvanized Steel Dog Tie-Out Cable With PVC Coating - 10Ft Length Ideal For Small To Medium Pet Breeds Up To 80 Lbs (Black) by Jessica Hill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Doesn't tangle and pretty chew resistant.

I have a new puppy, Jake, (English Springer Spaniel) and a crate but wanted the puppy to have more range out of the crate to get him use to a larger area as his territory so I used the cable to tie him to the crate with a harness. I used a couple of washable puppy training pads around the crate to catch any accidents. In the first month (8 to12 weeks) he had a few accidents but they all landed on the training pad. Th cable is very sturdy and although my pup loves to chew on it, so far, has not broken through the vinyl coating. The other really nice thing about this cable is that it doesn't twist up like cotton and nylon leads I have used in the past. He's now 14 weeks old and we haven't had an accident in over three weeks. He know his territory around his crate and won't soil it. I'm allowing him more freedom in the house now and so far no accidents. For the most part Springers are clean dogs and reasonably easy to train. Jake has never soiled his crate even in 6 to 7 hours over night. This cable makes it a lot easier to train without the chewing and twisting problems normally associated with other types of traditional leads.

Pros
  • MATERIAL: Our tie-out cable is made of galvanized steel wire rope with PVC coating for crack resistant and rust-resistant performance.
Cons
