I'll be honest with you guys. I really expected this little guy to burst or explode all over my portable stove causing massive chaos, fire and flames. Cup? on the stove? I eyed this kettle like a hawk. Until I had to leave for a few minutes. There are no injuries. there is no fire No water waves in my office. I have been using a kettle for over 5 years. One of the best - had a fever and all. I believe that in these 5 years I have developed many health problems due to rust and metal particles. Mind you I would use this kettle 3 times a day. There is a lot of metal in my body. Things work as well as a 'much, much older person'. Needless to say I finally broke down and threw it away. Came my search for a substitute that wouldn't give me metal filings in anything I drank or ate. It worked surprisingly well. If it wasn't for my health I wouldn't even try. I wish I even knew it was an option. In addition to the health benefits, it is beautifully designed. Less than I expected. At first I thought it was a different package. Very well packed.
