make for a great-tasting iced tea overall. mine, like many others, deforms the lid with heat so it can't snap into place. The whole part of the teapot looks flexible and fragile. I like the tea basket and it's easy to empty the used leaves out of it, but it also has a flimsy handle that can fall apart. I also feel that the glass jug can break, so I usually put some water on the bottom so there's no problem with the hot tea hitting the cold glass, and I add the ice cubes by hand so I can they don't break with ice that falls and hits the glass. All in all I use it daily and it makes delicious iced tea. Since the tea comes from the center of the top of the pot, I can use other pots if needed. Mr. Coffee, which I can no longer get and was replaced, needed special pots to fit the spout or a special lid for making iced tea. I hope the machine itself holds up well so if something happens to the pot I can continue to make iced tea in the other pots I have.
