Very effective, the best biological environment for dirty turtles!
I used this media in a Fluval FX4 canister filter along with Biohome starter balls as recommended by the manufacturer for about 45-50 gallons of water in a 90 gallon aquarium which is two of my large, very dirty turtles that staying clean has always been a big problem. After trying many other organic media over the years, I was finally able to create a lasting bacterial balance in the water with these products for the first time. Brilliant! A bit pricey but worth it!
