Review on πŸ”§ Corroseal Rust Converter Metal Primer - 1 Gallon, Water-Based Rust Converter by Rance Riley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent coverage, impressive results

I really like this product. We had excellent coverage results. From a gallon we covered the entire Airstream chassis twice and we were left with a liter. Make sure you paint it with exterior paint if it's going to be exposed to a lot of weather and humidity. I understand that an oil or urethane based paint is recommended. Based on my experience, I would recommend automotive paint for painting cars, trailers, outdoor equipment, etc. It dries quickly and can be painted over during or after drying. I have included photos and videos showing how I apply it and you can watch the reaction of the metal as I apply it. Wear gloves, preferably nitrile or equivalent. It will pollute your skin and take a deep cleaning or days to wear off, guess why I know that. In addition, brushes etc. are cleaned with soap and water. If you appreciate it, don't just throw your brush in a cup of water. Corroseal will continue to polymerize and ruin your brush. Guess why I know this. There is no heavy smoke and I have used it both indoors and outdoors without a respirator. I've only brushed it but I understand you can also roll it with a foam roller and some claim to have used a sprayer, pump sprayer and air sprayer. In cases like this I would always recommend using a respirator and probably cleaning it every few minutes, especially with pump and squeeze sprayers.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
