He does what he says, just not as well as I thought.

I work in a Jaguar/Land Rover shop and I decided to add this to my scan tool collection because I hate the "what make of car is this scan tool connected to?" ' to scroll. A screen that interferes with most scanning tools. When you plug it in, the tool will ask if the car is a Jaguar or a Land Rover. If you go to the special services (to find non-PCM codes) you will ask again. After you have already selected make once, the tool automatically determines the vin. But this time you have to look through all the automakers on the road. So calling it a dedicated Jag/LR scanner is a bit of a stretch. When scanning engine codes, the database doesn't contain what certain generic codes mean, which is what you'd expect from a $30 universal code reader, but not from a "brand" scanner. specificโ€, which costs more than $100. When extracting engine codes, current, pending and historical codes are divided into 3 separate categories for you to choose from, rather than putting them all in one section. I compared the battery test feature to the Mac Tools battery. Tester, and this tool came pretty close to the tester's results. I've never been able to reset the F-Pace's electric parking brake, so I'm not sure if it works. a more useful tool than the $500+ Tech 2 Scanner. As far as engine codes go, I'll pick up a generic code stripper any day now. He missed me in many places so I'm really not sure he has a place in a professional environment. I'm sorry.
