Complete technical failure. Requires an external power supply so you can see the connected devices longer. This is usually your PC, as it uses the same flimsy PS3-era USB cable for streaming (with no less disgustingly bloated bandwidth) but when your PC is off (because those devices aren't really designed for it, 24/7 to run) you will need to rearrange all the connections between your TV and gaming devices. I'm not sure if Revain has enough web space to fix all of the software's shortcomings. I'll try to draw some quick conclusions, hoping I don't miss any of the highlights (but it's inevitable). The software is so complex. For some reason it wants you to choose which gaming device you're using, which is entirely unnecessary as it should act as a fork for whatever is sent to your TV - whatever it is, the stream should intercept its. After a while it no longer recognizes that everything is well connected as it should be and just lazily states that it can't find the device (too hrrrrrd). It's also a bandwidth-hungry download that takes an absurd amount of time (although that's partly the fault of America's corporatocracy). You can't even use Discord voice chat if you upload a gameplay recording. Elgato Sound Capture software is useful, as is a screen saver. Every time you try to change settings, the program crashes. You can spend months of your life chatting back and forth with their hopelessly stupid tech support who will tell you it's a Microsoft issue, Microsoft will tell you it's an Elgato issue, they will want to look at a spec dump dozens of times They will ask you to reinstall windows dozens of times and then tell you that the reason it's not working is because you installed a random game on Steam, like Yonder the cloud-catcher Chronicles or RPG Maker 95+ or Zork II: Candy Crush Edition or something like that. And don't expect it to work with PS3 over HDMI for any reason. Whatever Sony does with their devices should be illegal.
