I replaced my MAF sensor on my 2000 BMW 528i as part of my regular service, it fits perfectly and doesn't generate any new trouble codes. It was very easy to install and I couldn't tell if it gave better performance or fuel economy because I also replaced my ignition coils, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter and O2 sensors so my 2000 runs like a brand for now. New again. I highly recommend a portion of this if you have a full light and need it, but I would do it all at once to take away any worries.
