They are very large, so they can quickly clean a large surface; However, the large size of the sponge can make these sponges difficult to use for those with very small hands. Although my girlfriend doesn't seem to have a problem with the size and she has small hands. The rough (grey) side is great for cleaning, while the blue side is great for gentle washing. Basically I use the rough side for everything because it works better in almost all cases. This sponge holds soap perfectly! It feels like adding the soap once and it lasts much longer than regular sponges. I only need to apply soap once or twice to wash a decent amount of dishes. This is one of the most important things I consider a sponge to have and it does a good job. The amount of sponges you get for the price is amazing. I believe a pack of 6 will last several months if not more than a year. We have been using the first sponge almost daily for 3-4 weeks and there is no sign of wear on the sponge. Very happy with the durability of the sponge. The only downside and the reason I give it 4 stars is that these sponges have the same problem as all sponges - they end up smelling like a wet old sponge. over time. This could be caused by someone not wringing out the water after use. Maybe it won't be a problem if you wring it out after each use. My friend tried putting it in boiling water and soaking it in hot soapy water - both with no noticeable difference in smell. First of all, the upgrade of durability and service life. I originally ordered these sponges on July 5, 2019. I ordered a second pack about a month ago and opened it for the first time today. The first pack of 6 sponges lasted almost a year! This value simply cannot be surpassed. What prompted me to update my review is that I noticed that the new pack of sponges I received was a different size than what I had previously ordered. Apparently I accidentally ordered the small version instead of the large one. The length of the sponge is the same, but the width of the sponge seems to be half the size. I have fairly small hands for a man and so the width of the large sponges I had before didn't allow me to squeeze the entire sponge as easily as I can now with the small size. The small size allows me to intuitively pick up sponges, making it easy to clean deep pots and glasses. My sponge grip looks like a hawk grip if you can imagine. You can see the new size in my new pictures. I hope you can also see the old size in the original image I posted. I will continue to buy these sponges as long as Revain has them!
