Sturdy and well built. I had no buzz and it worked with a standard dimmer. Update: I have a buzz in these devices on one circuit but not the other. I swapped devices from one to another to double check and the device that wasn't buzzing started buzzing when I moved it to a different circuit and the one that was buzzing stopped buzzing. So apparently there's some sort of interference that the circuitry can pick up that's kind of making these devices buzz. YMMV. For this reason I am changing my original rating from four to three stars. However, if you install the floor as intended, installing this bracket will not be that easy. I installed a couple of these in a Halo H99ICAT airtight downlight. The ground wire of this lamp is relatively short. There was no room for a ground screw in the Halo mount. I ended up using sheet metal screws and a right angle screwdriver to set the screw about 2 inches from the rim. After that there were no problems with the installation of light. The lamp is an integral part of the lamp. an easy way to replace it if you ever need or want it. I wish the light would be better if it used a standard bulb like the GU 10. Still, it seems like a good, solid, well-built light that works well.
