Straight needles would be nice if the needle eye wasn't so small. Even a needle threader won't fit through. They can be used with regular sewing threads. But they are not suitable for elastic cords or cords, and they need a higher quality needle threader because it does not go through the eye of the needle, it is too big. On large-eye needles, each of them broke. I tried one, it broke, I took another, it broke. I believe all the large ear pins broke the same night I received them.
