I think at this size a 2K monitor is the best you can get for the money. I've always preferred Dell monitors - colour/contrast/viewing angles seem better than many others. This is the case. However, if you're using this with the new MacBook M1 processor, the only way to get crisp 2K and billions of colors is to plug it into a Thunderbolt dock, connected to the monitor via DisplayPort, and then it downscale to 2048 x 1152. Using a USB-C dock results in a less clear display and only millions of colors. Either way, you don't get crisp, Retina-like HiDPI like you'd get on an Intel-based MacBook. Hopefully Apple or DisplayLink can fix this in the near future. For Windows/Intel laptops you get full 2K in all its glory which is very nice (tried it on my work laptop).
