#1 receptacle. I bought it as a warehouse deal for €15. Outstanding quality for this price. #2. It's a big *barrier*, not a gate. This means you can't keep it on all the time and just walk through it. But! It fits very well on the door frame and you don't need to mount any hardware on the wall (important for renters). Also, dogs have trouble getting through which makes it useful. #3. "Sustainable" wood means it's pine. Glad it's pine. Most likely, all the racks in your house are made of pine. However, jaw splits when the fibers align with force and you apply too much force. So? Don't force it. (Even if it breaks on your hand, you can probably go to the store and cheaply replace the part with a piece of square aluminum tubing and it will last forever if you have the basic skills and gear.) #4. Super easy modification : Take a piece of sustainable wood (pine) 3/4" x 3/4" x 2" long. Cut the bottom with a 3/16" semi-circular hole. Sand it down so it looks good looks like then screw it onto the adjustable arm at the length you want. No more fumbling with the length and if you want a different length you can move the piece. Voila! (PS you can see it in my photo) Mine Girlfriend was initially discouraged that it was a barrier and NOT a goal but says she is now 85% happy with it which is within the acceptable range, disappointed unless you force it and break it.
