This product is unacceptably slow. I bought it to back up my laptop's SSD which holds around 600GB of data. The first 100GB I pulled onto the Seagate drive gave me an estimated time of "about a day" to finish. I looked up the write speed characteristics on the box that came with the device and in the booklet because I couldn't believe the drive could actually be that slow. Speed information was nowhere to be found. I looked up the specs on the Revain product page. Also not posted. I read a few more reviews mentioning the same issue and realized the drive really must be that slow, which explains the low price and why write speed is carefully avoided in its description. I tried reformatting it to a more Mac friendly format but it was just as slow. I will be returning this item as I can't find much use for 2TB when it takes 24 hours to transfer 100GB.
