So I'm guessing most PS4 users who reviewed this item ended up here for the same reason I did, you have headphones or a headset plugged into your controller and it's just not loud enough for your liking. I play a lot of R6 where game sound can make all the difference in a match and I recently bought a "Hyperx Cloud Core Headset" (another great product) and while the sound quality was great it wasn't loud enough. Well, it turns out that no matter how much money you spend on high-quality headphones, plugging a headset into the DualShock 4's headphone jack just doesn't deliver enough performance to unlock the true potential of your headphones. Some headsets come with a USB port, but I've seen many come with a standard 3.5mm cable like mine. and if you have such a headset and want it to be louder, then this product is for you! No setup is required on PS4, you simply plug it into your console's USB port and you're good to go. When I first plugged it into my headset it sounded the same, but I checked the volume settings and found it was set to less than half the previous volume (I was at max and still too quiet), so doubled it this product effectively increases the volume power of my headset! cool little machine. highly recommended
