When we received this part we were disappointed to find that the metal is much thinner than the factory bracket that was originally fitted to the truck. It's also about 1/4-1/2" wider and didn't fit our 2001 F150 properly. I don't think this mount offers the same level of crashworthiness as the other side and could potentially cause injury in the event of a crash. I'm just not willing to take that risk.Will be sending back.
