Review on SKIL PWRCore 20V Handheld Vacuum with 2.0Ah Lithium Battery and PWRJump Charger - VA593602 by Rich Rickenbaugh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best handheld vacuum I have ever used

This is the best handheld vacuum I have ever used. more. I've been trying to see if the battery can be replaced. It really couldn't - very frustrating. So I started buying a new handheld vacuum. I have five house cats and I have to color them all the time. I have a small house with hardwood floors. Some places are difficult to maneuver with my regular canister vacuum. I've read reviews of all types of handheld vacuums (I was particularly interested in the ones with removable batteries). Most of them had bad reviews, especially in terms of how long they could last on a single charge. The handheld vacuum cleaner from Skil from the PWRCORE 20 battery replacement system received the best ratings. It was also the most expensive. I decided to give Skil a try despite the cost. I'm so glad I did. The battery holds a fantastic charge and doubles as an alternative charging source for USB devices (it charged my Pixel 3 phone with no problem). It has good suction power and a large bagless dust container. I love the attached attachments. It is easy to empty and clean. It's not too loud (no more than my canister vacuum). I bought a second battery because it also has a USB charging function. I also found the filter assembly part number on the Skil website so I was able to purchase a second similar one so I could give it a deep clean after heavy use. test it and vacuum the whole house with it. It vacuumed half the house (with good suction) before I had to put in a second battery. I was surprised. I would never try Dustbuster. I have arthritis in my hands so I have a hard time working with some vacuums. Not so - the on/off switch is easily accessible and easy to use. If you already have tools from the 20V Skil PWRCORE 20 group, be sure to buy this hand vacuum cleaner - the cost of the tool itself is very cheap. (Unfortunately my husband's Skil devices were from an older 18v system which is not compatible with the PWRCORE20 system so I had to buy a vacuum with battery and charger which is the most expensive.) If you want a better handheld vacuum want and the price doesn't matter, take this one. NOTE: It is designed for dry mopping only, not wet mopping (not a problem for me as I don't like wet-dry mopping). This handheld vacuum cleaner from Skil is more suitable for indoor domestic use. Other manufacturers of power tools also have handheld vacuum cleaners, but they are designed for tough industrial use. The vacuum cleaner doesn't mount to the wall like a regular vacuum cleaner, so keep that in mind if you really need this feature.
